Cookie Policy
Last updated 8 June 2026.
This policy explains how Dominate Dental (dominatedental.com) uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you control them. We use a consent banner so that nothing other than strictly necessary cookies is set until you choose to allow it.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device to remember you or your preferences, for a single visit (a session cookie) or across visits (a persistent cookie). Similar technologies such as pixels and local storage work in comparable ways. Cookies can be set by us (first party) or by a third-party service whose content runs on the page (third party).
How we ask for your consent
When you first visit, a consent banner (provided by CookieYes) asks which categories of cookies you allow. Until you make a choice, we apply Google Consent Mode v2 with all analytics and advertising storage set to denied by default for visitors in the UK, the EEA and Switzerland, so those cookies are not set. Strictly necessary cookies are always active because the site cannot function without them. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the consent link in the site, which reopens the banner.
The cookies we use
Strictly necessary (always on). These keep the site secure and working and record your cookie choice. They include the CookieYes consent cookie that remembers your preferences, and the functional cookies set by our Calendly booking calendar on the booking page so it can load and take your booking. No consent is required for these.
Analytics (consent required). With your consent we use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use the site, which pages work, and where people get stuck (including aggregated heatmaps and session replay in Clarity). This helps us improve the site. These are not used for advertising.
Advertising (consent required). With your consent we use the Google Ads tag and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure the results of our advertising and to show relevant ads on Google and Meta platforms. These set cookies and may share limited event data (such as a page view or an enquiry) with Google and Meta.
All of the above load through Google Tag Manager, and every analytics and advertising tag is configured not to fire until you have given the matching consent.
Third parties
The third parties that may set cookies or receive data through these tools are Google (Tag Manager, Analytics, Google Ads), Meta Platforms (Facebook Pixel), Microsoft (Clarity), CookieYes (consent management) and Calendly (booking). We also embed YouTube videos in privacy-enhanced mode, which set no cookies until a video is played. Each of these operates under its own privacy and cookie notice, which we do not control.
Controlling cookies in your browser
As well as our consent banner, you can restrict or delete cookies through your browser settings. To learn how, visit aboutcookies.org. Blocking strictly necessary cookies, including the booking calendar's, may stop parts of the site working.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the tools we use change. Any update will appear here with a revised date at the top.
